Living with Bipolar Disorder: Help and Support

Treatment of bipolar disorder is very important as severe episodes of mania and depression can seriously affect the patient’s health. However, everything is different when someone has mania or hypomania. The symptoms usually look like something positive, so there is no reason to panic or take any measures. Unfortunately, it’s not like that.

Mania and hypomania are quite pleasant conditions that increase your energy levels, making you more self-confident and interesting for others. The only problem is that although you feel you can handle more things at the same time, this condition is destructive and can have effects on you that cannot be reversed. Mania can make you squander money that you otherwise wouldn’t spend, it can make you hurt people you love and even risk your life and lives of other people around you.

Mania and hypomania may be pleasant and enjoyable only in the short run. However, there is still a chance you can be successful, mentally stable and happy in the long term if you intervene on time.
